Try a New Restaurant in San Diego!
According to the Reader Issue October 7, 2010 the following restaurants made the best list:

Phone: 619-239-2423
425 Island Avenue, Gaslamp
Italian cuisine, local grown veggies, imported meats and cheeses..sound wondeful and the menu changesd every 3 weeks so you will not get bored. Price: appetizers low teens, pastas upper yteens, entees top at $30..figure @$35 each person.
JJ’s Sunset Deli by the Bay
Phone: 619-237-1070
200 Marina Park Way
Fabulous view, very casual, little and as Reader critic Ed Bedford states full of attitude and atmosphere. Hus favorite is the Wednesday and Sunday special; a half rack of BBQ ribs with ranch beans, garlic bread, and another side choice and soda for $13.00. Breakfast and lunch are served with a daily rib eye sandwich on a board with beans and a soda for @$10.00! Open daily 8-5 except Mondays and Tuesdays until 3:30.

Phone: 619-239-1377
2550 Fidth Avenue(Laurel), 12th floor, Banker Hill
You are up in the sky enjoying panoramic views in this casually elegant restaurant. Cuisine is California French with several vegetarian entrees as well as traditional offerings. Entrees run $30-40, lunch is less expensive, wines are 2$50 bottle with a varied list. Garage is around the corner and valet is complimentary. A great place to go for a special or business occasion. Don’t wear beach outfits…
25 Forty Bistro and Bakehouse
Phone: 619-294-2540
2540 Congress Street, Old Towne,
This is a very upscale restaurant that has very downscale pricing. The presentation, the service and the quality of food far exceeds the modest pricing. Breakfasts run @$7.00, lunches $8.00 and pasta and full dinner $13-16.00. I am definitely trying this place out before they raise prices! Open daily except Tuesday. Dinners are Thursday-Saturday.
